BEFORE YOU GO ON HOLIDAY

Please visit www.gov.uk/coronavirus to review the latest government information regarding Covid-19.

Your booking may be affected by new government legislation in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, including legislated localised Covid-19 measures. The make-up of your booking party, place of residence and location of the property you are due to travel to, may impact your ability to travel.

Please take a moment to consider whether your booking is affected and ensure that you comply with the government legislation applicable to you as this varies across the UK and is constantly evolving. If you believe you are unable to go ahead with your booking, please refer to the FAQ sec-on of our website which sets out the options available to you.

There are some wonderful local places to eat and enjoy; please make sure you contact restaurants and other local attractions to book in advance and avoid any disappointment.

There are a few items that in the past wouldn’t have made your holiday essentials list, but it would be wise for you to consider packing the following items:

  • Face Masks – useful if you are visiting any popular tourist attractions, where the volume of people might make it difficult to social distance.
  • Hand Sanitiser And Disinfectant Wipes – for when out and about, where it may not be possible to wash your hands. Hand sanitiser is provided in each property.
  • First Aid Kit – including Paracetamol and a thermometer. Whilst each property has a first aid kit, these do not contain any medication or thermometers.
  • Torch – whilst torches are provided inside each unit, it’s always worth bringing one along with you just in case.
  • Tickets / Advance Bookings – if you are planning to visit a local attraction, you may need to book in advance while entrance numbers are reduced, to allow for social distancing. Please check before you leave and, if possible, book your slot in advance.
  • Outdoor Gear – wellies are essential! Also bring comfortable trainers, hiking boots, waterproofs, warm outdoor clothes, coat, hat, scarf, gloves, thick socks etc. during the colder winter months.  A large umbrella is provided in your property for you to use during your stay.
  • Card And Board Games, DVDs, Books – you may wish to consider some games to enjoy during your holiday. We have provided a selection of books and games for you in your property (and DVDs in the Country Cottage and “Look Out” Shepherd’s Hut) but for practical reasons, these cannot be cleaned in between each booking. There is no obligation for you to use these items, and should you have any concerns, then you may prefer to bring your own.
  • Picnic Blanket – for those occasions when it’s warm enough to sit outside.
  • Food – there are several local shops in Southwater, plus supermarkets, farm shops and delis in the Horsham area. If you are considering booking a delivery slot, please ensure that you are present when the delivery arrives as Chase Farm Glamping will not be responsible for any non-delivery.

With the additional cleaning requirements that we must undertake, your check-in and check-out -times are as follows:

Bookings are between 4:00 PM on the arrival day and 11:00 AM on the day of departure.

DURING YOUR STAY

For the comfort of all guests, no smoking is permitted indoors.  Flowerpots with sand are available outside the property to extinguish and dispose of cigarette butts.  Please be aware there will be a fee of £150 in addition to your booking for deep cleaning if you have been smoking inside the property.

Only electric candles are permitted to be used inside the property, and these are provided for your enjoyment.

Where practical and possible, please can guests staying in the Country Cottage use the dishwasher on an appropriate temperature setting.  Can guests staying in the “Look Out” Shepherd’s Hut and Airstream ensure that they use hot water and washing up liquid when doing the washing up.

These are still present in all properties for your comfort and convenience. Whilst throws are washed in between each booking, it is not practical for us to wash every cushion and sofa covering. If you have any concerns, or request items such as cushions and throws to be removed for your stay, please contact us in advance.

Ensure all rubbish and waste is disposed of properly in secured bags and left in the locations outlined in your Welcome Pack.

You are not permitted to invite additional guests back to the property.

BEFORE YOU DEPART THE PROPERTY

  • Please ensure that the property is left in the same condition as you found it.
  • Please remove all food from the cupboards, fridges and freezers before you leave.
  • Please ensure all dishes are washed and put away. If possible, put on the dishwasher (where appropriate) the night before and empty.
  • On the day of departure, please remove all the linen from the beds, including sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers, and place into a bag for us to collect. Please ensure that towels and dressing gowns are placed in a separate bag to the linen as they may be wet. If you have any difficulties removing the bedding, please let us know.
  • Turn off the heating (Airstream and Shepherd’s Hut only) and hot water (Airstream only) and return keys to the key safe.
